Sheila Danabar
Sheila Danabar joined the Ombudsman Office in 2018. As an Ombudsman practitioner, Sheila leverages over 25 years of private and government experience, professional relationships and Alternate Dispute Resolutions knowledge and expertise to assist employees and leadership resolve issues at the most appropriate level.
Prior to joining the Ombudsman team, Sheila held several Federal Security Director staff level positions in the field since 2003. She has participated and contributed in Model Workplace / Integrated Conflict Management Systems, Diversity Action Council DAC and Employee Advisory Council (EAC) initiatives.
Sheila is a trained mediator, facilitator, leadership coach and conflict coach; she completed an International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredited coaching program and received her certification as a TSA internal coach. She is results-oriented and a firm believer in building strong working relationships based on mutual trust, interests and respect. She understands and values the importance of creating a conflict-competent work environment that encourages collaboration and people/mission focused dialogue.
Sheila is a member of DHS AAPIN since 2017.
Prior to TSA, Sheila held several senior management level positions in the private sector and was the Director of Operations for a consulting and recruiting firm in San Francisco. Sheila has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Psychology and Ogranizitional Behavior. She currently lives in San Francisco and is married with two boys.
